Professor George Shepherd

George Shepherd is a scholar activist who has written 15 books on Africa and Human Rights and helped found the American Committee on Africa in 1953. Dr. Shepherd graduated from the University of Michigan and holds a Ph.D. in politics from the London School of Economics. He spent two years in Uganda with African farmers cooperatives and is now professor emeritus of African Politics and Human Rights at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver.
